Information About Health And Health Issues
Health, particularly in the United States is a major problem. Societies have changed a great deal in the past 100 years. Whereas exercise was a part of every day life, now most people sit in an office, behind a desk.
Time constraints are also an issue. We work long hours to meet the stringent requirements of stressful jobs. Yes, we have nice cars, air conditioning and entertainment systems like the World has never seen before. However the price we pay for these luxuries is greater than most of us realize
Health problems such as cancer and obesity are much greater than they ever were before. One hundred years ago, cancer was barely ever encountered. Today it is one of the greatest causes of death in the United States.
In the US in particular, the health care industry is malfunctioning at an astronomical level. The US pays over twice what other countries pay, yet our health care is severely inadequate. The length of the average American's life is shorter than that of the people of Chili.
The food we eat is full of preservatives. What is a preservative? it's a POISON!! You can leave that piece of bread on the counter for a month and nothing will eat it. Why? Because it has preservatives! Why are we willing to eat what microbes won't go near? Our grass is sprayed with toxic chemicals to help the grass grow and to kill the bugs. These toxins are KNOWN cancer causing agents. Still, we spray our lawns once a month and then every week go out with our gas powered lawn mowers to cut it.
The water we drink is full of poisons. The air we breathe is polluted. Our health care industry is more concerned with filling hospital beds and taking our money than with helping sick people get healthy.
If we the people don't start to take control of our own health, the problem will only get worse. What can we do? Refuse to pay; refuse to vote; stand up in arms and demand change.
